The European robin cannot be mixed up with other birds in Finland. Close-up one can see the big eyes, that tell that it has adapted to dim conditions.
The male starts its song during the twilight, when a beautiful flute-like sound echoes from the top of a spruce at the edge of the forest. As they lose their temper, they will make a sound that sounds like "tsii".
In finnish it has many names, including "punarintasatakieli" and "tapinvääntäjä".
Munakka Forest Trail showcases the local nature on a lit trail, which can be used for brisk exercise during summer and for skiing during the winter.
