Ölökyn Ylitys and Ölökyn Ähkäsy Trails

Kuusamon kaupunki

Ölökyn Ylitys is an approximately 5 kilometres long trail on the rugged landscape of Julma Ölkky lake. The trail has gravel paths, duckboards and natural paths. At the northern end of the trail is a suspension bridge across the lake. On the both sides of this bridge are steep ascents. On the eastern side are steps sculpted from the rocks and a spiral staircase made from metal. The path on the west side of the lake is more demanding due to numerous ascents and descents. Along the trail are benches and view points.

Ölökyn Ähkäsy is an approximately 10 kilometres long trail, that continues from the Ölökyn Ylitys-trail past the suspension bridge to the north.
