About Veikko Huovinen
The author Veikko Huovinen had a vivid and safe childhood although it was overshadowed by war.
Veikko's favourite food varied by season. He liked especially lamb and fish foods. In free time he liked to go fishing, read and watch TV. Sports programs were his favourite.
Veikko didn't have a favourite from his own writing productions, but he was particularly fond of the Tale of the forest folk. His idol in literacy is said to have been Pentti Haanpää.
The character of this tour Konsta Pylkkänen was visible in Veikko's life: during conversations strangers kept talking and asking about him, sometimes bringing Veikko to the edge of boredom. Konsta was the most famous character of Veikko's productions.
