Local produce and food await the visitor at the Market Square throughout the year. The Market Square Policeman’s statue in front of the Market Hall invites you to take a selfie, which is a must for every visitor from out of town. You will come across great finds in the small, atmospheric boutiques in the old storehouses around the square.
Here you can also board a cruise – or grab a SUP board and head out to the estuary! You can even try out wakeboarding right next to the Market Square, where ships used to sail to and from the old Oulu port. When winter comes, you can ice-skate while listening to music right in the middle of the square.
