Guided tours in Havula Mansion

You get to visit the stunning Art Nouveau–style mansion Havula, built in 1912. This unique place is the former home for the local sawmill owner Oskari and Siiri Santaholma. The mansion is located in Plassi, and it is full of history, beautiful furniture, and antique decor.

A guided tour inside the Havula Mansion and a coffee break with Lady Siiri in the stunning dining hall. A maid will serve sweet and savory traditional treats á la Havula.

Bus Tours

Tours can be arranged according to requests and wishes. We can focus on history, the present day, local livelihoods, tourism, industries, the sea, or combine elements from the past and present.

Plassi walking tour

A guide will walk you through Plassi, the old town of Kalajoki. You will hear stories from the history, architecture and local people of Plassi. The cultural heritage of the area is very significant: a lot of historical buildings have been preserved there. The famous Market Fairs of Kalajoki have been organized in Plassi since the 1600s.

Jokela vicarage and Kivioja Park tour

The guide will take you to visit the Jokela vicarage and smaller buildings in the courtyard, like Malmberg’s cabin. In Kivioja park, you learn about the life and work of vicar Vilho Kivioja and his wife Alice Kivioja.
