Siikarysä-restaurant

Kalajoki

Esa Tanska, who came from a long line of local fishermen, moved an old barn from Mehtäkylä to Hiekkasärkät in 1973. There he set up a new restaurant business – a simple, straightforward, traditional Siikarysä.

Since the beginning, the restaurant has served fresh fish (like the white fish, “siika”) grilled on open flame and enjoyed with great beer.

Even though the area surrounding Siikarysä keeps changing and evolving, the calm and cozy feeling inside the restaurant always stays the same.
